  1. What do I do if I have multiple roles?

  2. I see that I have the roles of both the Proposal Team as well as the Department Approver. Does this mean that I can also approve the work done by others in my department?


  1. Multiple roles affect what is displayed in the RAPSS Inbox. If for instance you are a member of the "Proposal Team", depending upon where the application is in the process, you will see the application in your Inbox. Once the proposal is submitted for departmental approval, and you are a designated approver for the unit, you will need to change roles to see it in the context of your "Department Approver" role.

  2. What you see in your RAPSS inbox depends on the roles you have been granted. Your department/unit/institute may have identified you not only as a Proposal Team member, but also as someone who has the additional need to be involved in the internal review and approval process or has the ability to view the submissions in your unit.

    Once the proposal is submitted for departmental approval, and you are a designated approver for the unit, you will need to change roles to see it in the context of your "Department Approver" role. If you are the department approver for other submissions you will have access to approving those as well.
